The Soccer
Commissioner is the general representative of the
Association. The Soccer Commissioner shall supervise all
activities of the Association and the work of the Executive
officers. He/She shall preside over all meetings, appoint
committees, and serve as ex-officio member of those
committees (except the nominating committee). The Soccer
Commissioner will be responsible for submitting a business
plan, (with goals, objectives and polices of the soccer
association) for approval by the Board annually at a general
meeting. The Soccer Commissioner will be responsible for
administration and oversight of the Director of Coaching and
Director of Player Development contract and evaluation. The
Soccer Commissioner shall vote only in case of a tie of the
LTYSA Board of Directors. The Soccer Commissioner may
represent LTYSA at CAYSA meetings.
Select Commissioner:
The Select
Commissioner assists the Director of Coaching with various
functions, including coordinating select tryouts, developing
schedules for tournaments and practices, helping with other
scheduling issues, and developing summer training,
pre-season camps, and preparation for qualification matches.
The Select Commissioner identifies volunteers to manage
teams, coordinates all information with team managers, and
troubleshoots player/parent/coach concerns. The Select
Commissioner works with the other Board positions to promote
the club image, provide input to the club fee structure in
terms of competitiveness, gather needed volunteers, collect
player fees, and identify, review, and approve financial aid
requests. The Select Commissioner also sits on the
discipline committee and monitors player cards. The Select
Commissioner works with the Referee Assignor to ensure
quality officiating and represents the club in formal game
protests. The Select Commissioner acts as a focal point for
questions/inquiries from new or prospective players, assists
with recruiting and coordinates the interface with the
middle school and high school programs, and provides
references and/or college information to interested club
members.
Secretary:
The Secretary shall
attend to all correspondence. The Secretary shall record the
minutes of all the meetings and shall be custodian of all
correspondence initiated by the Club or the Board of
Directors. The Secretary shall give notice of all meetings
and make available, upon request, reports on all activities
of the Association to the community.
Treasurer:
The Treasurer is
responsible for all money management and AP/AR bookkeeping
for both the recreational and select programs. In
conjunction with Board, the Treasurer develops budget and
keeps track of expenses and revenue for the fiscal year. The
Treasurer coordinates with the registrars on all money
management issues and reports financials to LTYA.
Select Registrar:
The Select Registrar
is responsible for entering all select players in a database
and registers them with CAYSA. Computer skills are
necessary. The Select Registrar works closely with the
Treasurer to collect fees. In addition to the monthly
attendance at LTYSA Board meetings, the Select Registrar is
required to attend two CAYSA meetings.
Recreational
Commissioner:
The Recreational
Commissioner oversees recreational soccer for ages U5 and
up, oversees age group coordinators, oversees putting teams
together, handles all inquiries/complaints for rec. soccer,
works closely with Directors of Coaching for LT Soccer Club
to make sure that youth players are getting the best
possible experience in LT Soccer. The Commissioner keeps up
to date with US Youth Soccer Guidelines for small-sided
teams, works closely with Rec. Registrar and Uniform
Coordinator, schedules practices and games for each team in
each age group, coordinates Coachs clinic, and keeps
records of each team for all age groups.
Recreational Registrar:
The Recreational
Registrar is responsible for entering all recreational
players in a database and registers them with CAYSA.
Computer skills are necessary. The Recreational Registrar
also coordinates the fall/spring season registration with
the help of other Board members. The Recreational Registrar
works closely with the Treasurer to collect fees. In
addition to the monthly attendance at LTYSA Board meetings,
the Recreational Registrar is required to attend two CAYSA
meetings.
Fundraising Coordinator:
The Fundraising
Coordinator organizes, coordinates, and arranges the
distribution from fundraising programs, such the Cookie
Dough" promotion. The Fundraising Coordinator must provide
accurate inventory control for orders and associated prizes
(e.g. 3300 tubs of dough).
Field
Maintenance/Equipment Coordinator:
The Field
Maintenance/Equipment Coordinator shall be responsible for
the coordination of maintenance for all soccer fields. In
addition, the Coordinator shall be responsible for the
purchase, distribution and retrieval of all soccer equipment
for all recreational and select soccer teams. The Field
Maintenance/Equipment Coordinator shall work closely with
all of the Commissioners and Director of Coaching to
determine equipment needs to determine future budgets. The
Field Maintenance/Equipment Coordinator shall work closely
with the LTYA on all common maintenance items.
Uniform/Trophy/Photo
Coordinator:
The
Trophy/Uniform/Photo Coordinator is responsible for the
ordering and distributing of uniforms and trophies for the
recreational members of the club. The Trophy/Uniform/Photo
Coordinator also schedules the team photo sessions each
season.
Web Site Coordinator:
The Web Site
Coordinator shall be responsible for the coordination and
maintenance of the LTYSA Website. The Web Site Coordinator
shall work with all Commissioners to distribute information
and assist on web site functionality for all LTYSA
activities.
